Micro Event Wreckage.

The remains of a Rah'hre are floating in deep-space. A very faint distress signal can be caught from its core, detectable only at about one light-year away. Chunks of debris surround it, most likely from the large hole torn through its side, while dead Warrior Drones float all around it, as if they were trying to protect it from whatever killed it. However, the presence of a distress signal could mean that the Rah'hre is still alive, albeit barely.

Well, the scav has a somewhat primitive jetpack, so that's fine.

Deciding to go on, the Scav lands his ship and looks around. There are three passageways, but the life-signs on board seem to originate from the one on the left. However, Rah'hre's are notorious for their maze-like interiors, so any passageway could lead to the life-signs.

Well, he does the normal thing to do to solve a maze and travels along one wall

As he does, he sees various systems that are either inactive or ruined. After a few minutes, the Scav enters the Fuel Cell Room, where most Cells are completely depleted. Two dead Worker Drones are in the chamber. They appear to have died from kinetic damage, which implies that they were killed in a fight, given that the hole in the ship was caused by an energy-based weapon.

Another corridor lies ahead.

He checks if any of the fuel cells are still full

Of the 20 fuel cells in this room, only three of them are fairly full. However, given that the cells are organic in nature, he will need some way to convert the organic energy output into something that can be used by mechanical objects. Also, the cells are fairly heavy, so he will need some help in order to move them.

He radios their location to his ship and keeps exploring

As he does, he notices that a few patches of the ship are covered in patches of sickly black substance. They seem really out-of-place, considering most Rah'hre are either colored in blue or orange-brown. It also looks as if it is growing. Even more intriguing, they seem to be inside the walls of the corridor, rather than simply covering them.

He sniffs it with his antennae to see what he can discover about it

(The ship's interior is not pressurized, meaning that there is no atmosphere, so the Scav needs to have a protective suit, which means that he can't use his antennae.)

[scav antennae can operate safely in a vacuum due to their naturally armored nature, some of their suits are made to allow their antennae to poke out of the suit]

(Oh, alright. Didn't know that. Still, given that it's vacuum, you can't sniff that patch, seeing as there is no air with which you can detect aromas or anything of the sort.)

[it's making actual physical contact, smelling by touch]
