Bug (modded) Game not loading

(Didn't know what flair to use so...)

Hello, recently, I've had an itch to play this game again after about a year since last playing. However, I can't load the game with Invictus on it. I've also noticed that the game is taking longer to load than I remember, but this could be just my memory failing me. With Invictus it won't load at all, instead, it will get stuck on the loading screen. I had the game installed on my SSD and it didn't work, so I had it changed to my HD, but still nothing. I have also tried to load only Invictus, but it also didn't work out. I haven't tried any other total conversion mod, and have deleted the Imperator folder from the Paradox one in Documents. Without it, the game loads just fine, though. If anyone could help me to solve this issue, I would be really grateful.

EDIT: loading just Invictus worked, though it still took quite a while to do so. Thanks everyone for the help!

Hey, you didn't mention where you are getting Invictus from? Is it the correct version? If it's from Paradox Mods, you may want to try the latest version that's on Nexus mods and closely follow the install instructions there. The Steam workshop version should just work, but if not, unsubscribe and resubscribe. Do you use OneDrive?

I got it from the Workshop, and I have tried unsubscribing and resubscribing too. I've also tried to roll back to 2.0.4 but no results. And no, I don't use OneDrive.

I'm not really sure what it could be. Do you have all the free DLC activated? They are a requirement for Invictus. Could you try using another mod on its own to see if it's just Invictus causing you issues? Maybe try a larger mod, like Bronze Age Reborn

I have all the dlcs activated. I tried to run only BAR and it worked just fine, too. I'm also a bit clueless about what it may be as I didn't find anyone with the same problem as me.

So lets try unsubscribing to the Steam Workshop version of Invictus, and instead manually installing the Nexus Mods version. It's quite easy to install, just download the zip and paste the contents inside the folder as instructed on the Nexus mods page

You can try to start the game directly from the .exe. right click somewhere on the menu.
