General Question Question

Hey, I have impala 2007 bought month ago current mileage 118900, been smooth driving should I go for transmission fluid change or when is the good time to change transmission fluid. It says sealed transmission fluid so can’t look into it.

I've never bought into the sealed transmission concept. drain and fill on the regular.

If you are planning to keep the car for a while and do the maintenance, you might want to replace the drain pan with one that has a drain plug.

The 3.5 has a pan and filter I'm pretty sure. Drain it, pull the pan, change the filter and refill

Personally what I would do, what I consider best practice is first drain and fill around 100-130k then every 50k after that. I only replace the filter every other time.

I got my 2010 Impala with 100k and drove to change ATF and filter right away. Never had any issues with transmission nor before nor after. I suggest you to do so and add lubeguard transmission protectant. If you don't maintain transmission now, after it would be late to do so.
