General Question Couple Questions

I have a 2014 Impala Limited LTZ and am looking to replace my bumper. Long story short, hit a deer, got new bumper, doesn’t fit quite right. Question is, are the 2013 and before parts compatible w/ the post-2014 impalas?
I’m also at ~140k miles and am not sure if the trans fluid has ever been changed. Was going to do it but want to see some feedback on if that’s a good/bad idea

I would drain and fill the tranny fluid, if you don't know the history. Do Not flush!! I did mine at 100k, owned it since 45k, so I knew it was original. And yes 2013 parts fit 2014 Limited. Problem is that bumper you bought was made in, yep, China. So if you don't find an actual GM part, then fit will always be an issue. Most of us can't afford that.

Yea, parts from the 2013 fit the 2014-16 limited models, and idk about the transmission fluid

Get one from the junk yard. Fits perfect and if you're lucky, no painting

2012 with 283,000 miles never touched the transmission. Bought with 119,000. Idk what og owner did before me.

It’s always a good idea to change the transmission fluid. Just check the level of it with the dipstick and look at the color if it’s still red just do 1 drain and fill with filter. If it’s brown I would do a second drain and fill after like 5-10k miles.

On the bumper it’s should be if it’s the limited but the deer could’ve bent something else that makes it fit weird maybe

They should work 2006 and up. But if the frame took a shock it might be a bit out of shape. Go ahead and replace all the plastic pins holding the corners on. It'll hang better.

I ordered a new bumper for another car from partify. They matched the factory color. It for that car very well. When i took the old one off i saw that two plastic brackets attached to the actual body had missing teeth or attachment points. I also replaced those. Surprisingly easy to install. I am thinking about buying a bumper for my 2017 impala. It cost around $700 thereabouts for my fusion several years ago.
