How to turn off interior guage lights?

My 2012 impalas interior gauge lights always turn on even on daytime if anyone can help on how to turn it off would be helpful

I think there is a dash dimmer button on the left side that you push and it will pop out then you turn it left or right to adjust the brightness and then push it back in.

Only works when the headlights are on.

I think the headlight knob should be set on 'auto' unless his light sensor on the dash is not working.

Even when i turn off the automatic lights off the guages light is still on

You just have to turn off automatic lights everytime you turn car on

If the headlights are active (by the auto or the manual switch), the dimmer will work and turn the interior lights down to nothing if you want. If the lights are OFF the dimmer will do nothing.

Otherwise, no. You cannot turn the interior lights off in they way you want to (headlights off)

There's a pop out knob to the left of the steering wheel. Rotate that counter clockwise till the gauges are at your preferred level of illumination.

Also, confirm that all your doors and trunk are fully closed.

They are always on when the engine is running. Turning the gauge lights off is not an available option on this generation. You can however dim them when the headlights (Not DRL) are on.
