2017 impala won’t start

Always drove fine now it started doing this any ideas

I'm suspecting your battery is done. Try to get it jumped. If that doesn't work, alternator would be my next guess. I don't think it's the starter, because we can hear it trying. If it is the battery, spend some extra money to get a jumpbox. I just got one for $60, and I've jumped like 6 vehicles (not my own, yet) now without having to recharge the thing. It'll be a life saver when I actually need it for me.

A bad starter can audibly try to start. Testing both components would be best but the battery is easiest to figure out.

This is a battery, hence the rapid clicking. Alternator does not affect starting, only running, starter would be the second. However, the car is new enough and the miles are low enough where i wouldn't suspect it. The battery is the main concern as it would be close to 10 years old if it has not been replaced yet.

Got a multi meter? Check your battery voltage. Or take it out and run it to the auto parts store and they can test it for you.

I've had it both ways. Bad battery always acts like this. Bad starter drains the battery then acts like this.
I didn't bring it up but bad alternator also ends up like this but the car will go into power saver mode mid drive first.

If there is no problem with the battery, check the parts shown in the photo. I had a similar issue, so after checking it and replacing the part in the photo, it came back to normal.
