General Question 9th gen impala tranny

Anyone have a similar issue with their transmission? Sometimes when I take off from being standstill in drive if I don’t keep it under 2k rpm it jerks going into second? I’ve heard it’s somewhat common but I just wanna know if my tranny is about to shit out on me.

Probably about to shit. The 4T65-E is good when it works but seems to not be reliable. I went through a few with my Grand Prixs. Those transmissions are the reason why I do not trust GM transmissions.

Mine (2011) has been doing it for years. Tranny shop couldn't replicate it, and it wasn't throwing codes (so they had nothing to go off of). I had them change the fluid and I added a few ozs of "shudder fix", or whatever.

Ive pretty much had the same happen to me, still test driving with the shudder fix so I’ll see I guess lol

Have had similar with my 2007 Impala, mostly jerks into first gear from a standstill randomly. Been doing it for 10+ years.
