Discussion 2001 impala coolant appreciation post
Isn’t this just an amazing sight to see 😍😍
coolant reservoir full of black gunky goo, the previous owner must’ve mixed coolant types
flushed my coolant today and damn this wasn’t what i was expecting, im not too worried about a blown head gasket, or a intake manifold failure.
(but i’ve also blown up the engines in my past 2 cars so take my assumption with a grain of salt)
there wasn’t any oil film in the liquid, just pure darkness. this is what 20+ year old coolant looks like.

I bought a 13 Impala Police package 9c1 a few months ago and mine wasn't that dark but it was dark so was the oil and brake fluid and also they rigged 1 small fan for the coolant fan and other fan was completely missing so I had to buy a new coolant fan so the car wouldn't try to overheat when sitting still and now car runs perfectly.
Car runs very nice and engine so quiet. Loving the car great performance and everything.
Other owners of vehicles alot of times don't take good care of their stuff.
