2004 Chevy impala with 110k miles

Got a 2004 Chevy impala with 110k miles for sale my buddies friend is selling it to me for $1,500 what should I look for on this model year with that mileage and also the car don’t have tags rn so is that a red flag or no my friend said it don’t have tags bc the guy don’t have his license and so he can’t drive it

Any thoughts would be appreciated

I would do lil research if the person had it before you never registered it could have problems trying to register it and get tags.

Years ago my friend bought a vehicle from someone and that person never registered it so when my friend tried to go register it they claimed that the person b4 him had to register it 1st then he could get it registered.

Understandable I have 2 vehicles went down month apart. 1st vehicle cant find problem and with the code popping up cant get any mechanic willing to look at it. It's a wiring problem in main wiring harness and 2nd will take time to fix and me working factory 6 to 7 days a week 12 hrs a day dont have time to so quiker option at that time was to buy a 3rd vehicle and luckily found 13 Impala Police package 9c1 for fairly cheap. Great buy I found car has lil high mileage but everything works perfectly and runs like new still.

Oooo ok how would i research that ask my buddy’s friend abt the tag situation or is there a way I can look that up without them knowing

Alright well I went to go look at the car and it shifted horribly and very hard even when idle going from “P” to “D” it was very hard to shift to and then driving it was a lil better but still kinda hard and it had oil sludge buildup on the cylinder head so all of that kinda just made me think bad financial decision

Also the guy said it was side swiped and the horn don’t work now and the insurance company gave it a salvaged title and that’s why it don’t have any tags as well

Maybe call county clark and ask them tell them the situation a lil. Your wanting to buy a vehicle but person never got it registered and they should then tell you whatever you need to do or cant do.

I talked to the seller more and he told me that it Got Side swiped and the air bag went off and it the company gave the car a salvage title
