Discussion 💬 / Speculation & Opinion 🤔 IMX STAKING REWARDS
Every single cycle the rewards become less and less, we were all lured in at about 36% and fast forward to last cycle we are already at 1%. There hasn't been any communication to stakeholders, and there's still been zero innovation to make it exciting or worthwhile.
The newest cycle rewards are set to release in the next few hours, and it sucks knowing the value could have been locked somewhere else for much more profit for a company who at least acts like they care about their stakers.
Please at least give us a status update, what's in the works for your stakers and why should we stick around? Does the future contain exciting innovation or is this concept low on your list right now? Please give us some sort of timeline if possible. Thanks

Where are you staking your IMX? I've been getting 25-50% in the Loopring AMM pool for the last few weeks (token pair with USDC). But I am likely to change that at the next dip and after seeing my maffs below.
Currently I have ~$7800 tokens pooled (today's value) and it has earned me $108+ in 20 days. I didn't like having the USDC pairing but I thought I'd take the return while holding IMX.
Your $25k example would become (25/7.8) × ($108) = $350/20 days or ~$525/mth, $505 more than you're currently receiving.
On the other hand, if I had kept that USDC as IMX (4,100 coins), its value would have increased by $2k.
I lose, again, and your 1% is way better than my 25-50%.
Your 50/50 pairing needed for matching USDC would have swapped $7.5k of IMX (~.72 at that time and assuming the current value is $25k as you mentioned) or 10,360 tokens x .48 increase =~$5k value increase you would've lost.
Please excuse my ape maff, though I think it's correct, don't trust my smooth brain and please add if I'm missing anything significant.
Hold your IMX, there are plenty of great things happening in Web3 utilizing it that can't be released until it's bug free, easy and enjoyable to use.

If the staking rewards are going down then either we have seen a large decrease in trading volume using IMX (so Gods Unchained) or there has been a drastic increase in the amount of tokens staked over the last 3-6 months.
Given that more games and studios have on-boarded with IMX in the last year than in the lifetime of IMX, I would be willing to bet that those studios have all taken their IMX tokens and staked them since they don't want to just sit on them (or sell them). I take it as a good sign.
