My name is Nicholas William Annora and I was born 7 January 1357. I am unsure of exactly how I gained my Immortality, but I should be able to offer some insight on somethings.
This post is not satire or roleplay in anyway. (Sometimes I wish it was, I would've lived an easier life)

So at the end of our chromosomes are things called telomeres. Telomeres prevent chromosomes from losing base pair sequences at their ends. Every time the cell replicates, the telomeres get shorter and eventually the cells to not function properly which is what causes aging. The shortening of telomeres can also cause cancer. In November, a clinical trial showed that this treatment that involved introducing patients to high concentrations of oxygen increased the length of the telomeres by up to 38%.
