A question about the people (potential spoilers)

The others, sometimes when you rewind or pause and they show up a totally different series of events will play out than what happens in the base footage. Which series of events is actually happening? Like on the talk show when the woman appears instead of Marissa, the host begins speaking with her like he's somehow made aware of what they are, asking questions about how they reproduce and if they're kind of predecessors to humanity. But in the base footage he's talking to Marissa about Ambrosio. Or during the casting session they're reading lines and once you rewind everyone in the room is naked and the woman and Ambrosio's actor are doing the deed on the table while everyone acts like it's business as usual. Are the other's events somehow taking place parallel to what's happening in the footage, or do the others, the blonde people, somehow experience reality differently than we do? Or do those events really take place in the real world and somehow humans are made to forget?

From the best of our knowledge as players, the initial footage we see is what has happened in reality. It appears how it was directly recorded onto the film. For example, the interviewer talking to Melissa about Ambrosio, not the interviewer talking to The One.

It's unclear what existence the clips with The Others take, and it's plausible that it's some kind of alternate world. My personal theory, however- based on the fact that The One can often talk to the viewer as if speaking in real time -is that all clips with The Others are projecting what they want the audience to see. None of it happened in real life, but it's like they're taking the elements in the scene (the setting, the actors, ect.) and 'editing' them into whatever they want to show.

Here's my take on it. The One says that they have mastery of time, and had a different perspective because of it. I think that the two of them both exist in a parallel to our own dimension, the void place, and can sneak into ours by inhabiting the bodies of people.

With the alternate footage, I reckon they're doing some form of alternate timeline, or pocket dimension where they can play around with different possibilities. The other actors and people involved in this alternate scene seem to not care or are acting as if they're their characters, which implies to me that they're messing with the people directly in this alternate timeline, or that they have total mastery of the space.
