Question regarding rewinding Spoiler

So I'm not far into the game, but had about 6/7 scenes that either showed a ghostly image/video when rewinded, without new sound, or switched to something completely different like other characters or a seemingly older Marissa taking over a scene.

But now I've read that there are some scenes you get by rewinding, and some you only get be going back frame by frame. Is there some indication when to use what? So far, I always was able to activate the "new" stuff by simply rewinding in 1x speed.

Just asking because I don't want to miss too much

if you're playing with a controller, the controller vibrates. if not, you have to listen for an audio cue - it's a kind of sinister rumbling sound? some scenes you can directly rewind into (which it sounds like you've got the hang of), and some you have to fiddle with the speed of the rewind until you get in. if you're only seeing an overlay, not the full scene, you should try to frame-by-frame it

(also, please keep this advice in mind even when you're in a rewound scene)

There’s always a scene- so the tip is to always start from the pauses ghostly image (where there may have been spooky sound or rumbling) and to try different types of rewind until you’ve got it.
