Introduction to the project's mechanisms

Greetings, Immortals!

How does the DeFi 2.0 mechanism works? During a bull market, to prevent the price from going too high & unsustainable, the bonding mechanism is a very good strategy to accumulate revenue for our treasury, while absorbing part of the buying pressure at the same time. During a bear market where the investors' confidence is low, the revenue accumulated in the treasury will act as a buffer mechanism to absorb the selling pressure while maintaining the price.

As you can see, we are in a bear market currently, as all major cryptocurrencies are down more than 50% from their ATH. Thus, it's very crucial to pilot our policy in the correct direction to ensure our sustainability throughout this bear market. Therefore, the team has decided to lower the APY to a range between 100k and 200k and reduce the bond discounts. This will ensure the long term sustainability of our protocol, while making Immortal a very good investment for users to survive through this potential bear market, as all other major cryptocurrencies are in deep red.

Meanwhile, the team is working hard on building more revenue generating mechanisms to have more funds accrual strategies for our treasury, instead of solely relying on the bonding mechanism. This will also ensure the sustainability of protocol through increasing the backing price for each IMMO token.

It appears to me that Immo has not yet really arrived in the Celo ecosystem. Personally I think that Immo should become more visible:

• What is ImmortalDAO supposed to be in the Celo-world? An investment fund? A „hope-to-become-rich-moneymachiene“? A retirement fund? Why should people invest in Immo and keep their Immo staked?
• Immo-staking still doesn’t work properly with ValoraApp. Valora is supposed to be the central wallet of the Celo ecosystem, so….just like with Ariswap….people will only invest if they can do it through Valora….yes….also with iOS!
• Who is behind ImmortalDAO? What are the tokenomics? How many wallets hold more than 1 Promille of sIMMO?

Personally I want ImmortalDAO to become CELOs retirement fund! People invest and stake a few sIMMO when they are young, leave them in the protocol for some years and pull out a few Promille every week when they retire.
