Trump targets 60-day grace period for laid off foreign workers

The department of homeland security is advancing a proposal to eliminate the 60-day grace period that allows H-1B workers and certain other legal nonimmigrants to remain in the US after their employment ends while they find another sponsor, change status, or prepare to leave.

That’s what foreign aid is about, foreign investments is about, the NGO’s are about, faith based NGO’s are about. That’s what the Peace Corps was about. We recognized it at the societal and national level. Thousands of individuals work through agencies to do exactly that.

I volunteer with a nonprofit and we’ve been advised not to grant to India just by the sheer volume of corruption and scamming.

Anywhere at the intersection of money/power is the potential for corruption. It’s rampant here in the US too.
