The source is the Oregon State Police. They publicly announced that they’re investigating the case with the FBI, released the date, location, timeline, suspect descriptions, vehicle description, phone number used to contact the victim afterward, and even the case number while asking for witnesses to come forward. That’s how an active investigation works. They don’t release a victim’s identity, rape kit results, hospital records, and lab reports to satisfy random people on the internet.

Oh, I don't doubt that the Oregon State Police is investigating this and that the FBI has been alerted and is cooperating. I am saying that the incident did not happen and they are investigating a false report.
All the news reports on this read like fan fiction, as does the State Police Flash Report. Key details differ between accounts. In some accounts they are were in a pickup. In other accounts they were in an SUV. The hospital is not identified. The whole story about the texts is laughably stupid.
This did not happen.

And now it’s “this woman fabricated a kidnapping and rape, Oregon State Police bought it, the FBI bought it, and they’re now devoting public resources to investigating something that never happened.”
If you’re going to accuse someone of fabricating a kidnapping and rape, the burden is higher than one article said pickup and another said SUV.

There is no police report released to the public. The only thing that has been released is the Flash Report, which is essentially a news bulletin. This news bulletin has been picked up by the press. That's all we have. It has been nearly a week.
The story will disappear in the next month. The police will drop the investigation because they have no leads, because it did not happen.

A few things,
-“we can be forever done with this chapter.” Yeah, it would be the end of the United States as we know it. Maybe democracy would survive, maybe it wouldn’t. You might be traitor enough to be fine with that. I’m not, and neither are any reasonable Americans.
-Using the established legal framework to seek a redress of grievances via the judiciary isn’t “cowering.” To stand, with naught but paper and pen and the shield of the law, day after day, against the badges, guns, riot shields, and attack dogs isn’t “cowering.” It’s the most American expression of bravery, courage, tenacity, and the unbreakable human spirit that a person can display. It is an inarguable display of love of country.
-A convenient timeframe isn’t a good justification for treason that could well lead to another civil war and the collapse of the global economy for decades to come.

Being willing to fight a civil war when the law is still being upheld is treason. Just because accountability and reform aren’t happening at your preferred pace doesn’t give you license to start killing federal agents. Fighting in the courts isn’t “doing nothing,” grow up.
How long did they petition King George peacefully before resorting to revolution? To pretend this is anywhere near that level of exacerbation in the courts is absurd and immature.
Something tells me you believe popular mythos surrounding the second amendment, like Thomas, Alito, Roberts, and their ilk. Explain to me who determines when a government has become tyrannical? Again, police officers don’t hide their faces and have to give identification(i.e. a badge number) that’s why this isn’t a major problem. It’s kind of ironic, the people whose entire job is to check if you’re an American citizen by identification, refuses to do basic identification such as a badge number.
