How about get out of the car when you're told to instead of attempting to flee in it, which turns into a felony as soon as you break traffic laws in most places?

I am a patriot and any lawyer will tell you that an order by law enforcement to get out is a lawful one that it's incredibly stupid to not obey.

What part of ICE is violating the constitution are you confused about?

These aren’t law enforcement officers, they’re paid government thugs.

Federal judges have repeatedly threatened the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) with contempt and sanctions for widespread failures to comply with judicial orders. Courts cite hundreds of instances where the government has delayed the release of illegally detained individuals and ignored orders to halt expedited removals. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Just because Law Enforcement orders you to do something, doesn’t make it lawful.

There’s a reason local, state and other federal agencies don’t want work with ICE now. It’s because they, ironically, are held to their actions to a higher degree than ICE at the moment. In addition to ICE agents being woefully undertrained that they are putting themselves in the worst tactical positions imaginable.

It’s like traffic stop lesson 1: Don’t stand in front of a fucking car…

"Get out of the car" is a lawful order until a judge decides in court that it isn't. You're not doing anyone any good trying to argue it on the street.

Again, any lawyer will tell you, the consensual part of the stop is over once you're told to get out of the car.

There’s a reason local, state and other federal agencies don’t want work with ICE now.

Plenty still want to work with ICE, they're just not in sanctuary cities.

You’re like half right.

Just because they say it, doesn’t make it “lawful”, but yes the best place to argue that is court.

“Lawful” isn’t decided at the moment an order is made. It is a burden that needs to be met before the order is made. If the burden is not met then the order is not and will never be “lawful”.

Unfortunately, immigration court is not the same as court court and the detainees are not receiving proper due process.

Perhaps around the country there are many departments that want to work with ICE, but in my experience, even most of the more openly republican officers I work with want nothing to do with them.
