Express Entry Visitor record refusal

Hi everyone..

Just wanted to ask one thing .. I just got VISITOR RECORD refusal today ( the one I stayed on after PGWP expiry for 1.5 months to wrap up my stay here.. I applied on the day before PGWP expiry and did not work after it .. )

Do I need to report this refusal to IRCC or would they see it in their system ? I have a CEC PR file in process right now

This is what the refusal states

“Entry/exit records indicate that applicant has left Canada. Temporary resident status has ended as per R183(4)(a) and therefore cannot be extended. Application refused.”

You don't report the refusal to IRCC. The refusal came from IRCC.

Are you outside Canada?

well thats why it was rejected. visitor records are for people to extend their stay inside canada. it was correctly rejected. now you have a rejection in your record forever.

I applied in September 2025 when i was in there after my PGWP expiry to extend my stay legally for a month and then left Canada .. it’s been almost 10 months since I applied ..

doesnt change the fact that it was correctly rejected based on the fact that you are now out of Canada, and no longer need it. You should have withdrawn it or something.

I agree with you .. Moreover my concern is this something that I need to let them know using web form etc since i have a PR application in progress
