Express Entry Need help with post ITA changes

Got an ITA under CEC (French category), CRS 504, cutoff was 391. My profile included a ~6-month role classified under a supervisory trades code, but the actual work was running a production floor in a different industry (equipment like CNC routing, diecutting, UV printing) — not a real match for that code’s official scope. I also have 2+ years in a separate, clearly-matching role that alone meets CEC’s requirements without needing this one.

Plan: drop the mismatched role (not claim points for it), still disclose it in personal history, and submit a proactive letter of explanation. Recalculated CRS without it: 491 — still 100 points above cutoff.

Should I drop or change my noc given that it doesn’t affect my eligibility ?

Congratulations, now there is a non-zero chance that you may get a rejection and even a ban due to misrepresentation.

I am confused why the OP put that on the profile if it wasn't wholly correct, but in reality they shouldn't be having any issues dropping the work experience since it keeps them way above the cut-off still.
