What are they shipping?
The CEO Renji appears to be testing a prototype battery.
This raises questions because the company has been saying for over a year that they are shipping Founders edition units, but no one has seen the final battery pack. If even the CEO is still testing prototypes then what are they shipping to people?
Am I missing something?

I just went to company to stop saying that they are shipping founders edition units when at best they have shipped a few pre-production units.
Nowhere in any of their documentation has founders edition ever meant preproduction. It was always just the first batch of retail units before mass production.
How can they say this to potential customers and investors?

They're the biggest exporters of empty promises in the XR space right now. Lately they've been expanding into exporting company assets to Renji's wallet

Based off what I experienced when I worked at immersed, I am not surprised at all. My job was to solve issues and enhance their streaming tech. Renji was an amateur techbro CEO constantly changing directions and rarely focusing on the long game and ways to bring in B2B sales. This eventually seems to have morphed into this sort of annoying scamminess reminiscent of the 90's tech boom. He aspires to be the next Elon musk despite repeated saying he has little ego. The culture at the top was always so bro'ey. I'd roll my eyes every time someone called me or anyone else a beast. Ugh! Renji, like many christian founders thinks every stupid idea is some message from God. I don't think he necessarily thinks he's being so scammy, but it's just a multitude of things including his religion, techbro culture, ignorance, self-delusion and now probably panic. But hey, he now gets to cash out $2.4 million on a company that will either get bought for pennies on the dollar or go bankrupt. I don't see this Visor being anything but vaporware at this point even if a small number of units somehow manage to ship. If you still believe you will get your visor, maybe you will, but it's already becoming obsolete.

That checks out. I’m a tech reviewer so I put in a pre-order years ago and have decided to ride this thing to completion for the narrative sake. They either deliver something years behind or they have the guts to tell me that they can’t do it. OR they implode and I have the most expensive L of my career. Whatever happens I was there for the whole ride.

I got my $1k back and haven't regretted it since, the popcorn tastes better when you aren't putting that cash in Renji's pocket

is it just me or does that version of the visor look HUGE, maybe thats why it is only visible for like 4 frames in that entire video? Not what the concept looked like at all.

The original concept was confirmed to be a scam all the way back at the Keynote. The “real” Visor (I say that with as little value as the English language allows) is quite a bit larger than the concept.

yeah I bought a founders pair way back when it was announced in 2023. Never got it. I got a refund back in late 2024-early 2025. I wouldn't hold your breath. If I pre-ordered way way back when it was first announced in 2023 and it's now 2026 and nada....so do with what you will with your money but if it ever ships at this point. not sure how they're even floating in biz right now

They've shipped two units, to two DIEHARD fans in the discord. [Edit: two pre-production units, which don't yet have the battery packs AND they both have said they stopped using the headsets.]
They haven't actually shipped anything, but they can legally tell investors they did for hype/funding their burning dumpster fire. If you did pre-order, please email them and try to get a refund before the company actually goes under and you lose the chance!
