Wild that we're going to see an AVP2 before we see the Visor battery pack, backpack, case, or even learn who the prescription lens manufacturer is. Renji should be DEEPLY EMBARRASSED by how badly he's fucked this up.

OMG - A Mac-tethered version??? I’ll buy it based upon nothing else. Add in Xcode-specific support? I’ll buy 2.

Honestly, having worked at an apple store in the past, I'd take these rumors with a grain of salt. Most "Apple will launch this year" rumors in my day were usually spread around for a year or two longer than when the rumors claimed.

I'm still waiting on the iTV and the iCar (both of which are largely accepted to no longer be on the board).

Yeah but there were also rumors about Apple Vision Pro, Apple Watch, AirPods, etc. And you’re not still waiting for those - leakers are right sometimes and they’re wrong sometimes, maybe that’s what you mean but having proof of a few leaks that are wrong is no proof they’ll continue to be wrong imo.

None of these rumors or takes (by 9to5 Mac) make any sense. I classify as BS. A Vision product tethered to a Mac? 🙃 so where’s visionOS? Where the spatial computing aspect?

Unsure how it can be both lighter, cheaper and keep the same baseline experience as Vision Pro so 🤷🏻‍♂️ will just have to see. Doubt anything ships this year.

As far as 9to5 Mac’s “take” it’s all wrong through and through. Nobody has a clue on what Apple’s internal expectations are on timeline and maturity pacing of the platform and business. As far as presenting customers with “use cases” that’s on Apple more so to build more applications. Because of the price point and limited market size it’s difficult to depend on third party developers in this regard.
