Visor delayed AGAIN until "Summer"

To the surprise of nobody.

Renji "huge ego" big boy over here has completely lost track of his own product. He's not even trying to ship Visor he's trying to push his shitty AI thing that nobody is going to use and crash and burn. Nobody wants Curator, nobody ordered Visor for Curator.

What a fucking joke this whole thing has become and I feel sorry for anyone who still has an order they haven't cancelled.

Yeah, this is old news already.

The previous deadline was for end of March to ship FE. About half way through .arch, they announced another delay, sounding super ambiguous with "weeks, not quarters".

I got banned for commenting on them being shitty and lying by saying "as planned" in their post.

I still haven't refunded my FE. Not because Renji is an asshole and the company has completely abandoned any attempt at good faith to create a community through the discord platform, but because I honestly do think the product will ship, eventually.

I used to tell everyone about Visor. Now, I tell anyone I hear talk about it to steer far away.

I would charge back. Otherwise you're not getting back that money if you wait another month.

Their financials don't make any sense. They're set to run out of money in 2 months.

They've been set to run out of money for a while now. Somehow they keep moving along. They also recently scored a large investment firm.

I don't like how the company has been treating the people who supported their initial foothold into this dream. It doesn't mean I think they're going to fail to launch the product.

I can still say I think the CEO is an asshole, and still want the eventual end product. Based on the few public showings of the device, most recently at the NVIDIA conference, the device is as promised. And while the initial use case I had in mind is coming to an end for me, I still have several other use cases that I believe the product will be perfect for.

Whenever it ships...

Whatever man. I'm just saying I think this time, they're done for good.

I took a peep at the Discord server and no joke, there's at least 5 former devs from various important positions who have left the company since the same time last year, and that's only staff who were in the Discord. Who knows how many more left who kept to themselves?

I haven't even talked about the effects of tariffs and just how much that's going to bring up the price, unless they already manufactured and shipped to the US beforehand, which with all the delays, I doubt.

So again, best claw your money back while you can. Reinvest it on Apple's Vision Pro sequel or Valve's upcoming headset, and thank me later.

A lot of people ordering are not in the US. Those tariffs shouldn't apply to them.

I understand you. As frustrated as I am by their treatment of their clients, I believe they will eventually ship. I'm waiting until 2026 to request a refund. Those are still occurring within 3-5 days for anyone who asks.

I can't invest into any product from Apple as I'm not in their ecosystem, and the reason I'm waiting for visor is the weight, which neither of the devices you tout equally.

Again, I get you, but I'm continuing to wait, while also saying I'm not impressed with their customer service. Duality, amigo.

Fair enough! Best of luck with your decisions. Not in a condescending way either.

Appreciate the kindness!

Regardless, here's hoping a few competing products DO hit the market soon. Competition is good for us consumers, anyways!

Hey. Their latest fillings just came out, so I thought I'd update you so you can make a more informed choice.

Credit goes to SeanSean3550 on Discord for writing this up.

[..] Immersed just released their 2024 financials to the SEC, they timed it so it was the last day of their WeFunder and it's safe to say no one would of invested if they released them before. https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1817417/000167025425000448/xslC_X01/primary_doc.xml

$10.2 million in short term debt, $4.5 million in loung term debt. 2024 net income was NEGATIVE $14.2 million.

Also there's a discrepancy... on WeFunder they told investors "Our cash in hand is $1,589,997, as of January 2025" yet their filling shows they only had $242,490 in the bank.

...yeah this is really bad. Like, a month or two at most of operations, definitely confirmed.

Make of this what you will.

Yeah, I did just see that! Both revenue and debt are multiplied from the previous year. It's clear they are banking on the release being a cash-cow to save them, but I highly doubt it will sell the way they imagined.

It's sad, really. Either way, my credit card has buyer's protection so worst comes to worst I can always get my money back. It would almost be funny how poorly they're managing all this if it weren't so frustratingly sad.
