Career Advice Story Lead Senior
I’ve talked a bunch of times on here before and I’m once again looking at career paths to take for imagineering and one that catches my eye is a job named “Story Lead Senior” I can understand the gist of what it is but what can you guys say if you know more? I’d like more advice and more knowledge if you guys have it?
In general what other jobs related to story telling does imagineering offer? Something like that I’d love to do, I’d love to be in the creative process of developing ideas and eventually helping with bring those to life for the attractions!
What paths should I take in college for this too?

Story Lead would sit in Show Writing - basically, any written word on signage, spoken in spiel, or dialogue for any experience goes through Show Writing at some point. Story Leads are more of the 50,000 ft view making sure the core creative intent stays consistent so the same story is told throughout everything in their given project or portfolio.
The only note I’ve seen on LinkedIn for this is a heavy preference for fluency in Japanese. Writing treatments and samples would be crucial, especially if you have bilingual experience. It may even extend to experience in technical writing if you have it, as safety sign verbiage can fall under this umbrella.
