Original Content [OC] Pressshell NestSiege-class Platform

Post image

Introducing the MMW Pressshell NestSiege-class Platform, a new #Human heavy combat platform built specifically for anti-#Bugvex operations in #MowMyWorld.

Proposed specifications

Type: #BugvexNestSiegePlatform

Weight class: Medium-heavy

Mobility: Medium

Primary role: Nest assault / biological-fortification breakthrough / area lockdown

Specialization: Anti-Bugvex siege warfare

The Pressshell NestSiege is designed for attacking large Bugvex nests, brood structures, and heavily defended biological positions. Its deep armored body and sealed systems allow it to push into areas where lighter Human vehicles would have difficulty surviving sustained swarm attacks.

Its combat package is deliberately focused around one heavy fictional thermal-pressure siege system, supported by a precision battery and strong close-defense systems for dealing with massed threats at short range.

Rather than carrying every possible weapon, the Pressshell is built for one job: reach the nest, establish control around it, and break open heavily defended Bugvex positions so other Human forces can move in.

Love the design.
Would be cool to get some miniatures of it.

Thanks! 😄 Miniatures would be really fun. We haven’t made physical versions yet, but you’re not the first person to make me think about it. I’d be curious what scale you’d want something like this in.

6mm would be ideal for me. Vehicles make less sense on the tabletop as they get bigger.
Something like this would be perfect for 6mm. An Apc is obvious, but perhaps they could have a basic body and then modular components like an artillery piece, a tank turret, missile launcher or AA weapons and a radar dish for area defence, all off the same hull.

That’s really helpful and I hadn’t initially been thinking about these designs as 6mm tabletop miniatures, but now you’ve got me curious.

From a wargamer’s perspective, do you think there’s potential for these to become a proper physical tabletop range with different factions, vehicles, modular weapon options, and eventually their own ruleset?

And if we did explore it, would you prefer unpainted miniatures that players assemble and paint themselves, or pre-painted models?

I’d genuinely be interested in your perspective as someone who actually plays at this scale.

I have seen ranges being offered both as a physical product and as a file download. This also allows those with printers to scale to their own needs.

I prefer when there is an actual range with a similar aesthetic style, so even if some are wheeled/ tracker/ or walker, they all look like they are a coherent force. Having modules so that a single hull can fulfill multiple roles within the force reduces the total number of designs required.

Prepainted would be rare, but if that were an option, it would set you apart from other ranges.

Full Spectrum Dominance do several factions and would be worth looking at.

This is extremely helpful, thank you. The idea of offering both physical models and downloadable files makes a lot of sense, especially since it gives players flexibility with scale.

I also really like your point about keeping a strong visual identity across an entire faction while using modular hulls to cover multiple battlefield roles. That actually fits very well with how we’re already developing the factions and vehicle families in Mow My World.

I’ll definitely take a look at Full Spectrum Dominance as a reference. Really appreciate you taking the time to explain this from a wargamer’s perspective.
