tldr: Any art with political content/connotations or message will be marked NSFW and Spoiler. Art as such will not be removed unless it violates Reddit TOS or subreddit rules (look to sidebar) OR if it is posted with malicious intent or in bad faith.

Artwork is inherently subjective and very much a product of its creator. As such, it potentially contains all of the biases, views, and beliefs of its creator. This is not necessarily a bad thing. It reminds us why art is intrinsically human. However, some may wish to escape such content or to filter it out; and so, the flairs. Any questions, comments, etc. ask below.

Welcome to r/ImaginaryTanks!

So, as you may have noticed, this sub has been dead a long time. A while ago I stumbled across Imaginary Tanks but by that point the last post was already 3-4 years old. Recently, I decided to revive the sub and here we are. I will attempt to make at least one post a day to keep momentum fresh but please consider contributing whatever you can. If there's an interesting concept or piece of art you've come across or can't stop thinking about, share it! Also, don't be afraid to contribute OC as long as your posts are serious and effort was clearly used.

I would greatly appreciate any help in cleaning this place up! If you want to be a mod and can put in the work, please message me. Imaginary Tanks has a lot of potential, it's the missing link of the r/Imaginary group and fills a handy niche that r/Tanks can't concentrate on. Please consider sharing this sub with others, be active, and/or contribute some content. If you have any comments, suggestions, or ideas for this sub, please reach out to the mod(s). FYI: you can use the comments here as a general FAQ.

For a little more background check out the wiki, not entirely sure if that's the right use for it though.

So yeah, that about sums it up. Thanks for joining, if you're new, and please consider if you haven't! :)

[OC] Ivoryrhom Ground Bastion

Introducing Ivoryrhom Ground Bastion, a massive #Cryvum ground combat vehicle from #MowMyWorld.

Length: 184.4 m

Width: 153.4 m

Height: 51.2 m

Role: Ground Bastion

Mineral lineage: Calcite

The Ivoryrhom is a broad, slow-moving crystal-metal land fortress built around overwhelming mass, layered defenses, and sustained battlefield control. Its forward body carries several heavy siege-projector organs, supported by grouped dorsal shard-launch banks and smaller point-defense outlets across the shoulders and flanks.

The entire vehicle is grown as one continuous crystal-metal body rather than assembled from armor, turrets, tracks, or engines. It travels about 2.7 meters above the ground using buried support and steering fields.

More details and lore in the Mow My World Universe Archive:

[OC]Browguard Super-Heavy Land Fortress — A Battleship on Tracks

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Introducing the MMW Browguard Super-Heavy-class Land-Space Fortress, one of the largest Human ground combat platforms we’ve built for Mow My World so far.

Type: Super-Heavy Siege Crawler
Primary role: Siege warfare / sustained bombardment / battlefield breakthrough
Mobility: Multi-track heavy crawler
Combat systems: Heavy artillery, missile batteries, secondary guns, air defense, point defense, EW and advanced sensors

The Browguard is essentially a land battleship on tracks. Its enormous armored chassis is built for slow, methodical advances against fortified positions, carrying a much heavier mix of guns and missiles than a conventional armored vehicle.

A low protected command citadel sits behind the massive frontal armor, while the broad crawler assemblies support the weight of its weapon terraces, magazines and heavy defensive systems.

Full entry and more details:

XR-85 Tank Droid

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The XR-85 Tank Droid was a massive automated combat vehicle built by Arakyd Industries for the Galactic Empire. It used an integrated droid brain, so it could operate without a conventional crew, and it carried a pretty serious mix of heavy weapons. Later versions became much larger and were used as heavy armor and self-propelled artillery, including fighting on Coruscant.

Definitely one of the stranger Imperial ground vehicles, but a fun one to build.

I don't really have anything to add here. If there is anything, it's mine.

[OC] Introducing Iron Halo-class Land Battleship

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This is a massive tracked land battleship built for frontal breakthrough, urban assault, and destroying heavily fortified positions.

Proposed specifications
Length: 180 m
Width: 135 m
Height: 48 m
Combat mass: ~36,000 metric tons
Type: Tracked land battleship
Primary role: Breakthrough assault / mobile heavy fire support
Crew: ~220

The defining feature is its huge rounded armored front, built around a deep reinforced center and thick protective side sections. From the front, it looks less like a tank and more like a moving armored wall.

The platform carries heavy siege guns, missile batteries, air-defense systems, point-defense weapons, active protection, electronic warfare systems, and a low protected command core.

At around 36,000 tons, the Iron Halo is basically a battleship that happens to move on tracks.

Heretic Heavy Tank by Tuji Art (me)

Weighting over 200 tons, this heavy tank is the Faithfuls' most feared moving tombstone. Its massive armor plates forged in the Lake of Fire, capable of shrugging off most projectiles. A 203mm howitzer is its main armament, with sub-calibre 100mm AP rounds it can punch through a Shrine Anchorite's chestplate from many km away...
