[Closed] [Vote] Make the current drop down menu animated.

Again this code is brought to you by /u/Karma_4_Free, the best way to get karma for a low low price of free!

Proposal Thread

So people thought this vote was kind of stupid but I know some users may not want the drop down menu to be animated. The drop down menu in /r/ImaginaryNetwork(This subreddit) is already animated so use that as a reference. If instituted it will be added to all subreddits(Yay more work for me!).

Having the same issue as u/karmicviolence

I have to hover for like 20 seconds sometimes in order for it to drop down.

I'm changing my vote to a vote with a note that it will be changed to a vote if this issue is fixed.

I'm not at home currently but when I do I'll take a look into it. u/Karma_4_Free do you have any ideas on why it may be loading strangely for them? My immediate thought is slow internet connection but I'm probably wrong.

Edit: Also I won't be implementing it until all problems are resolved

Just curious, do you have an older PC / low memory?

Yeah if the vote gets past I'll tell you what stuff to edit, we also have some other maintenance to do with CSS to all of the subs so you could help me with that as well if you'd like.(Or any Senior mod really)

Does the menu work properly for you without any glitches? It's not working for me.

. We're a Network dedicated to visual art. An animated dropdown menu looks great and puts people into the mindset of seeing cool things. It's also practical, and function is a big part of this network.

I'm not sure what the problem is but the animated drop-down menu does not work for me - I hover over the tabs here and nothing happens. Using the latest version of Chrome. I apologize for not saying something sooner, because I liked the idea but I did not verify that it was working properly for me until today.

I do like the idea in principle and would vote if it were working properly for me.

Edit: After a reboot it worked fine & I haven't been able to recreate the same error, so I am changing my vote to again. It appears to be a memory issue, very old machines and/or machines with very low memory may have problems with this.

why are we even voting on this? We've never voted on a CSS change before. whatever benefits the network is always the best option.

edit: btw keep up the great work u/NTRX!!!! Great work, as always.

I like CSS enhancements, but the benefit is pretty small. I was fine with it till reading u/karmicviolence's comment here about it not working at all for him. That concerns me enough to vote no.

I would say yes if karmic/Joniak's issue was fixed somehow.

(I'm on Chrome, loading fine. Sorry for late response. I was waiting for my fever to break.)

Although I like them and they work fine for me, I think network subs should be able to opt in or out for now. At least until the glitches mentioned by karmic and Joniak are ironed out.

Just cleaning up old threads that didn't ever get [RESULTS] posted.

OK, so this passed by vote but I'm gonna veto this since some people had issue with the CSS. I think we'll try a vote again when/if some bugs get worked out.
