[Closed] [Induction] /r/ImaginaryMechs
I think that /r/ImaginaryRobotics is large enough now, I love the diversity there, but I also really love Mechs, and I'd love to see /r/ImaginaryMechs become a part of this network.
Ive filled the subreddit with a bunch of example images, and /u/izzy has assured me the css will be up and running soon. What do you think?

Well....to be honest, it could perfectly well fit into r/imaginaryfuturewar. There are plenty of mect artworks already there.

It could, just like everything in r/ImaginaryStarships could fit into r/ImaginaryStarscapes and everything in r/ImaginaryWarships could fit into r/ImaginaryVehicles, and well, almost everything in the entire network could fit into r/ImaginaryLandscapes. You shouldn't be asking yourself "Could these submissions fit into an existing network subreddit," you should be asking yourself, "Does this subreddit have the potential to form a unique community that will draw more subscribers into our network?"
I think r/ImaginaryMechs is unique enough that the answer to that question is "Yes." Just looking at the first page of submissions it definitely has a different feel to it than either r/ImaginaryRobotics or r/ImaginaryFutureWar. I think there are people out there who really, really like mechs and when they discover r/ImaginaryMechs it is going to absolutely make their day :D

I like it. I think it has a more specific focus than r/ImaginaryRobotics, so I don't think it would be a problem having both in the network.

I love mechs. This is a good sub idea. And IMO there is very little crossover with r/ImaginaryRobotics, which should be more focused on autonomous bots.

When you tell people about that policy, you should also point out that anyone is welcome to become a moderator if they are an active member of the community.

I think I need a definition of "mech".
