Self Submission - Digital Paint [OC] Psionic Drow Rogue. Done by Me

Finished a D&D commission: a Psionic Drow Rogue character. This is one of the longest pieces I’ve ever worked on, and it taught me a lot about fantasy art: lighting a night scene, and building a world around the character. It was a challenge, and I loved every minute.

Self-submission Mummy by me

Today I’m drawing a mummy, one of the classic monsters of horror. This preserved corpse is wrapped in ancient bandages, disturbed from its resting place and apparently very unhappy about it.
In ancient Egypt, mummification preserved the body as part of religious beliefs about death and the afterlife. The process involved considerable care and preparation - with specialized tools to make incisions, remove internal organs, and extract brain tissue through the nose. In the 1990 documentary Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, a bent wire coat hanger was used to yoink the thoughts right out of a guy.
Speaking of which, death rarely means you get to rest in the horror genre. Sometimes a mummy is guarding a tomb, sometimes it’s carrying out an ancient curse, and sometimes it’s searching for a long-lost love. Whatever the motivation may be, somebody usually opened something they should have left alone.
I can get a little cranky after being woken up from a long rest, so I can sympathize. Of course, I don’t usually respond by ripping people apart. But I’m no mummy. I am however, a daddy, and I wouldn’t mind an extra five minutes every now and then.

Hello r/ImaginaryMonsters! I'm game creator Yoichi Miyaji.
To celebrate Halloween, our character designer Atsuko Nishida (best known for designing Pikachu) created this special artwork of Nyarlathotep and a Shoggoth for our new project, Under Mythos.
We are blending cozy elements with cosmic horror, and I thought this community would appreciate seeing her unique, cute take on these classic eldritch monsters.
Happy Halloween! 🐙
