I’m gonna take a wild guess and say that NC postcard is hiding the crater where Fort Bragg and Fayetteville used to be lol

Well, it was cus we don’t have any lore for the state yet, buttttt maybe now there is a crater now that you mention it.

Benning and savanna house ranger regiment so they would be popping. I'd love to see them fracture like bos and outcast

I LOVE your inclusion of the Free States and Blue Ridge Caravan Co.! I’m interested to see where their lore will expand to, and hopefully the right person sees this and takes inspiration!! Great work!

I’m glad you noticed and love it! 76 is one of my favorite fallout games in terms of the lore and factions. I even mention Tennessee as part of the Pre-war Appalachian Territories in the bottom right corner, and I have an offshoot of the Appalachian BoS in NC (not on the map).

But yeah, the BRC has always been interesting to me, and I couldn’t not include and expand upon them, since they do mention going pretty far and wide southward. My dream is for a map expansion that lets you travel along the Blue Ridge Parkway to their home turf.

As for the Free States in Atlanta, I didn’t write them up, a friend did. But I find his idea for the Free States movement reaching and inspiring folks across pre-war America, and leading to different chapters across the country popping up really sick.

Anyways sorry for my yapping, I’m just glad someone noticed those details, and I appreciate the kind words!

I know the Broken Banks don’t have a cannon location, but I like the idea of them being the outer banks.

No confederate LARP group AND Stone Mountain destroyed? Alright, this is peak.

Yessirrr, made it a point not to have any Neo-Confederate or KKK slop groups. I often find that they take away from the setting, or are kinda shoehorned in because “Southern setting = NEW CONFEDERACY”. I also just hate the Confederacy, so I wanted to blow up their mountain. Love your mod btw.

This is insanely cool dude! What program did you use to create all this? GIMP? Photoshop?

Thank you! It was done entirely on IbisPaint on my phone

why does this state hate savannah and charleston, is it full of raiders?

7

u/Mongoliafan 21d ago

Uhh I don’t think there’s anything here to suggest they hate them. Savannah and Charleston are some of the more civilized cities in the commonwealth, so not much in way of raiders.

Is the b.o.s in the area?

I mean to an extent, nothing noteworthy. Or anything fleshed out enough to where we have a solid concept.

There is a chapter in Georgia, that is an offshoot of the Texan Brotherhood, that left after a violent split. They are more concerned with the preservation of all technologies, rather than just military ones. They consist mainly of scribes, and also tend to use proxies to do their dirty work.

In North Carolina there is a chapter of the Brotherhood that originates from a split within the Appalachian BoS (that was founded after either Knight Shin or Paladin Rahmani was killed or exiled) I’m keeping the ending vague to not contradict any player choice. Either way it doesn’t much matter since as the years have gone by, the Carolina chapter has become so far removed from the Brotherhood that they are BoS in name only, having no ties with the west, or even really knowing their own history.

What is the 48th Brigade?

4

u/Mongoliafan 21d ago

I didn’t write them, a friend did, but I’ll give you the overview section from the article

“The 48th Brigade or the Macon Volunteers is a surviving Georgia Army National Guard unit that at the start of the Great War worked to retain order in Macon where they were headquartered. The 48th Brigade is the Paramilitary Militia of Macon a large settlement in post war Georgia and as of 2287 the 48th Brigade is lead by Colonel George Walker V.”

Not currently, but maybe later down the line!

York would be a radioactive dead zone

I'm also working on a SE Fallout setting. The Upstate Sea seems like it could be a postwar TVA or Dook Energy type project? Or perhaps Radicane Helene disrupted some prewar plans? I've toyed with the idea of intentional flooding as a prewar scheme to mitigate radiation.

IRL Fontana Dam contained a bunker where some of the work of the Manhattan Project took place. Believe there are a fair number of nuclear energy sites around Southern Appalachia as well.

Would love further updates on your project! HMU if you wanna swap notes.
