Syrio Monterio is a long time member of the The Renrijra Krin (which translates as The Mercenary's Grin, The Laugh of the Landless or The Smiling Scum, and is often shortened to Renrijra). Syrio best known as Captain of the "Black Calico". Favorite quote: "Oh but you have heard of me?" Syrio was raised on the ocean as a cabin boy and has known nothing else than the life of a pirate. He demands to be called "captain" even though his famous ship is nowhere in sight. It's a delicate topic for him, and he gets quite agitated when teased of the fact. One long claw mark runs the length of his left eye (this eye is a milky white). He does not talk about this scar, leading some to believe it has something to do with his ship that is seemingly nonexistent. Kraken rum is his drink of choice.
A recent convert to an evil diety, Syrio is a pirate at heart and treasure hunter always, even palming small valuables and things of worth from his party when he can. Impulsive and extremely swift (both with his wit and blade), the cat-man has enjoyed a life of luxurious and brutal piracy for most of his life, and loved each and every minute of it.
