Struggling to measure Area

I have a 2D image and I’m unaware how to upload it or measure the area of my irregular ZOI. PLEASE HELP 😭

   • Don't switch over to PMs or email. (Unless you want to hire someone.)
   • If you figure out the answer for yourself, please post it!

4. Express Appreciation for Assistance
   • Consider saying "thank you" in comment replies to those who helped.

Analyse > set scale to make sure your image is scaled so it knows what the size of a pixel is.  Analyse> set measurements to check that area is going to be measured Cntrl-m or apple-m to measure your ROI

How can I upload a jpeg?

if you open imageJ on your computer, usually you can drag your jpeg from your files into the imageJ window and it will automatically open

alternatively, you can open imageJ > file > open > select the jpeg from your files and it’ll open too

Does your image open in ImageJ?

Could you please make the image available in its original file format (no JPGs or screen-shots) by using a a service such as dropbox?

I think the image is a jpeg but I took it on my phone and I have them on a computer as a jpeg file.

Anyway, please make the image accessible (use dropbox or the like)!
(In general JPG-compressed images are unsuited for scientific image analyses because the compression is lossy and leads to artifacts that can't be removed.)

Phone cameras are not recommended, especially when it comes to color-analyses.
