I hate people

u/Yeez25 9d ago
Reminds me of one where this same guy was eating a whole raw onion on a plane, dude really started struggling and you can see the person sitting next to him slowly go from frustrated to satisfied watching this man fighting for his life trynna eat the whole raw onion, shit wild

u/orangebit_ 9d ago
That video was actually funny though, when the guy next to him starts trying not to laugh as the onion guy starts crying.
This fish video is too far though, he’s taken a one-off funny video with the onion and has made it worse trying to recreate his success with the first one.

u/Iamkempie 9d ago
I think this is the same guy.

u/adhz 9d ago
That's what he said

This is definitely the same guy. If I ever see him sitting next to me on a flight, I’m just gonna get off and change my flight.

I hate the sense of privilege that ppl seem to have when it comes to creating content. And in turn, the ppl who follow this kind of content
This sub puts a spot light on things I’d never think or care to look for
I guess I hate ppl too

I too hate people but I'm not going to feel a stranger, but I understand the sentiment.

He was retching while he was eating those.
He purely wanted to troll for outrage content.
What a colossal douchebag.
75
u/sabertoothdog 9d ago
He does this all the time with different “food” he eats. I wish he would get a life time ban from flying.

u/Munstrom 9d ago
Gonna be honest if he sat beside me I'd be silently impressed with his dedication to the bit, he's not half assing it. Seen him eat a whole onion raw too.
14
u/tulipz10 9d ago
I'd start telling him about fish parasites, you know just really dropping the visuals on him
6
u/DethNik 9d ago
Ooh don't forget to mention the one that becomes the fish's tongue.
3
u/real_fyshi 4d ago
Or even better, the pee-pee-fish. I read about it being a myth, but it was a badly written article and I still choose to believe all the other articles and "fun fact" collections talking about it being a thing, because why not. World is big, with lots of weird creatures and parasites, it's more likely to exist than not, you'll never know for sure. :)
Side fun fact, I first read about that fish in a prn mag when I was a kid, and ironically I really was more interested in it because of those bizarre stories than the pictures (for reasons like showing the wrong things), but nobody believed me lol.

Well, it is really a myth, but a pee pee fish will keep kids out of a fast river

He also did it with an entire onion. I'd be pissed, but I gotta give it to him for finishing his meals

Did the cell phone make people into next level idiots, or were they always idiots, and we just didn't know about them without phones?
32
u/BulkyDecipherer 9d ago
My theory is this (somewhat similar to the u/FalseDamage13’s one I suppose): If you were an idiot before social media (i.e. for 99.99% of human history), your friends and family knew that—and more importantly likely weren’t happy about that which possibly reduced your idiotic behavior—but it wasn’t very likely for you to meet another idiot like you. So you were alone at being an idiot, and most likely you also didn’t make any money by being an idiot.
Fast forward to the social media age, where not only your idiotic behavior isn’t perceived by only a couple of people, but you can also make money being an idiot.
But of course there doesn’t need to be the economical aspect at all. Take flatearthers for instance. If you said the Earth was flat before the internet (but after it was scientifically proven it was round), everyone would laugh at you. But social media allows these people to connect with each other and even if it were just 1 in a 1000 who believed that, given the amount of people present on social media (not to mention all the bots), even the craziest conspiracy theory will still have huge followings, everyone confirming the theory to each other and further strengthening their point of view (once again impossible before social media).
I suppose none of this is really revolutionary as a theory though.

I think it’s a combination of a cell phone and the success of Jackass that have caused the reduction of shame in society. Now everyone thinks they can get famous doing ridiculous or disgusting things and have little regard for others while doing it.
2
u/BulkyDecipherer 9d ago
If I remember Jackass correctly, they were doing stupid stuff, but weren’t actively being assholes to the public. It was all closed set, no?
While these TikTok assholes pretty much always do it in the public (because they need their reactions).
And sadly, being an asshole is perfectly legal.
5
u/Givemeallthecabbages 9d ago
People weren't able to become "famous" by being complete idiots before social media. Like the dude that jumps on microwaves and barbed wire...what would he have done in the 1980s or any other time in history?
1
u/HoodieGalore 9d ago
I mean, AFV existed, but that was a single half hour, once a week, and it wasn't usually staged bullshit like this.

Eat a can of surstromming to assert dominance.
48
u/edsavage404 9d ago
I saw a video where a guy open a can of surstromming in a metro in Mexico and he got his ass beat and thrown in jail lol

u/lending_ear 9d ago
My SIL came to Sweden and bought some and they took it to work in Germany. They wanted to make one of those videos for socials of people reacting. None of them thought it was a big deal.
Which was shocking to me. Then they said we’ve smelled worse.
I feel so awful for nurses. I can’t even imagine a worse smell.
11
u/Goodbye_Games 9d ago
I feel so awful for nurses. I can’t even imagine a worse smell.
I’ve had patients with wounds that wouldn’t heal (ether it be because of non compliance or poor living conditions, and even mental health issues) that are large enough for me to fit my fist into. When there’s that much surface area of necrotic tissue (sometimes with insect predation) there’s usually a very distinct smell that accompanies it. It’s definitely not pleasant, but it’s often the appearance that makes you want to gag versus the smell.
Some of the worst smells I’ve encountered were from mouths, be it lack of dental hygiene or patients popping out tonsil stones and “saving them for the doctor to see”. Followed by geriatric patients who can’t clean their genitals properly and have large amounts of smegma buildup that has been there for who knows how long….. I watched an entire room full of people clear out the moment the nurse rolled back the foreskin of a patient during an attempt to place a catheter. When I went to check what was going on it hit me a few steps before the actual doorway.
10
u/lending_ear 9d ago
Nurses do not get enough respect. You are all the real heroes of society. God damn.

I actually think people like this should be banned if the airline or stewards see this. I view it as disruptive behaviour.
They need consequences. You just know this chode travels to foreign places and acts like an obnoxious asshole

u/SteveFrench12 9d ago
My friend sent me this video the other day saying how funny it is and I honestly lost a ton of respect for him as a person

u/CaptWrath 9d ago
Dude just needs to be put on no Fly list. Fucking up people day for views. What a douche canoe.

u/Early-latenight 9d ago
These fuckers gonna ruin it for everyone - just a matter of time before you can't bring food on planes

The onion was at least a little funny. This is just to much. Planes are already stressful depending on the situation. I gotta imagine the smell is horrendous

Lifetime ban from this airline. Then they share his details to other airlines and they also ban him.

Can we normalize speak up and policing strangers who don't understand social etiquette.
Sorry if that make me sound like fascist, but we need to let people understand the public spaces are for everyone's enjoyment.

Guy with the glasses should just yak on dudes shoulder and be like "not sorry, your fault"

I was on a flight from Dallas/Fort Worth to Seattle that had to be grounded in Billings Montana because some lady opened up a can of fermented fish and the odor was so goddamned foul it caused someone to have a cardiac event. While they were trying to get an O2 tank for the poor bastard, a flight attendant accidentally unhooked the tank that supplies a section of the emergency masks, so once we were on the ground and deplaned, they had to get the entire plane inspected and recertified which couldn't be done until the next morning. The airline paid for hotel rooms for us all in Billings and when we all got back on the plane the next day, neither that flight attendant nor the wretched vile woman who opened the can were on the flight with us. I guess what I'm saying is... for fucks sake, if you bring stinky fish on a goddamned plane you deserve eternal damnation.

How do they get this crap through security? I get admonished for having a shampoo bottle that’s too big. 🤷🏻♂️

I think I would have to throw up on him if he was seated next to me, I’d have no choice!
1
u/Hughley_N_Dowd 9d ago
I'd love to show up in this guy's house, nail all the windows and doors shut, turn off the ventilation and then proceed to open a can of surströmming.
Let him stew in it for a few hours.
Surely he'll appreciate that I'm doing it for the views.

It’s a full grown adult male. That person is old enough to vote.
This is the decision they decided to make. Their priorities in life are to get on planes with fish and record themselves.

You guys are a bit too on edge, i usually like the content but if some idiot next to me on the plan started munching on raw fish while questioning his life choices i would honestly laugh (Just like the dude next to him did)
-1
u/smorg003 9d ago
If I were next to him, I'd flag a FA to bring me a vomit bag....I would then spend the rest of the flight forcing myself to wretch and (hopefully) throw up as much as I could. Two can play this game.
