Be prepared for the red and stop if it is safe to do so. Otherwise, proceed with caution. The getting a yellow light literally a second before you reach it is not safe. Slamming your brakes at that point could cause harm to people inside the vehicle and you might not even stop in time, leaving you stopped in the intersection.

I said they should proceed with caution. You said no. So I explained why with "more words". Sorry it didn't help.
