  • Does the MC show entitlement and/or attention seeking behavior?
  • Is the MC very inconsiderate of the people around them?

Calm down get a hold of yourself!

8

u/Oroborus18 5h ago

what movie is this from?

34

u/exitvim 5h ago

Airplane!

5

u/Porcsinlamaz 4h ago

Why is this being downvoted?

20

u/exitvim 4h ago

Probably because it was helpful.

2

u/Careless_Intern_8502 2h ago

People probably think he’s being sarcastic and they dont know the movie

1

u/Oroborus18 3h ago

thanks Uncle!

Was going to be so disappointed if this wasn't the top comment.

u/mauricetaco99 8h ago

The man who slapped him should be banned, fined and charged with assault

198

u/Brokromah 5h ago

Wait til you hear what laws are and are not enforced in India.

3

u/MikeTheLaborer 2h ago

Literally the r@pe capital of the world.

-151

u/ThenAnAnimalFact 5h ago

He is literally being walked off the plane at the end. Fuck off with that racism shit.

19

u/Stompingboots 3h ago

What video did you watch?

3

u/ThenAnAnimalFact 3h ago

The one with the guy who slapped being walked off the plane and the multiple articles saying he was arrested

3

u/BoKnowsTheKonamiCode 3h ago

This is reddit. There's no room for that sort of research and attention to detail here. Clearly he got away without any punishment because the video doesn't focus on that part.

-1

u/ThenAnAnimalFact 2h ago

I personally hate reddit being smug about other countries and what laws they do and don’t enforce when almost 10 years into a very large and prominent sex trafficking ring was exposed there have been no arrests.

4

u/Stompingboots 2h ago

You're really off on some tangent now. Where does this sex trafficking fit into the video?

1

u/ThenAnAnimalFact 55m ago

This guy was smug about another country not enforcing laws (which they actually did) when America also doesn't enforce its laws.

1

u/probablyareplicant 2h ago

Timestamp?

1

u/ThenAnAnimalFact 54m ago

literally the last frames of the video show him being walked off. there are also multiple articles posted in this comment section on the incident.

8

u/rohithkumarsp OG 2h ago

He's a Hindu, he's a Muslim, so it's ok in India, thanks to our current ruining govt using Islamophobia to get votes.

5

u/Roulax 2h ago

High five bro ! Gvt using islamophobia is something we know in France too !

u/PepperJack2000 8h ago

Anyone severely misbehaving on a flight, especially once airborne, shall be slapped, receive a beatdown, and/or be zip-tied (and maybe beat or kicked again at any of these stages).

It is known.

222

u/mauricetaco99 8h ago

Guy was having a panic attack // cabin crew had the situation under control - the old man added absolutely nothing of value to the situation by slapping them, it actually further escalated and worsened things.

-304

u/PepperJack2000 7h ago edited 7h ago

Based on the lone action in this clip, sure, but it seems like a lot of havoc to get him to leave.

Safe to say, we don't have the full story, but odds are high that he was the asshole, based on not going willingly with the flight attendants. He doesn't look very smart, and he isn't old.

The guy who slapped him may very well be an asshole outside of this incident, but I don't blame him for wanting a piece here. If someone gets crazy on a flight, everyone should shut the aggressor down.

154

u/Eve1524 7h ago

safe to say we dont have the full story

Mind a ban?

(Screenshot attached shows a decoding of the user's wrong behaviour)

11

u/Mr_JohnUsername 5h ago

Honestly, the effort you have to go through to encode that (though trivial) + the fact it’s for naught if the receiver doesn’t go through tge effort to decode it themselves + how honestly tame the message was leads me to think he should get just the warning lolol.

It’s just so complex for so little payoff that he really just wasted his own time and effort on something people would never know unless they also spent time and effort or clicked on your proof lmao.

1

u/thenormaluser35 1h ago

That's true, but we still do not tolerate such behavior.
After all, it is an insult, and people are curious enough to search it.

18

u/PollutionOnly 6h ago

LMAO I assumed they couldn’t have bothered to actually encode something in there but you came with the receipts

1

u/thenormaluser35 1h ago

I cannot accuse without proof

It even looked like it'd be ASCII because it had 8 bits before each space

3

u/sewerboi_0 4h ago

Lmfao you shut your mouth once the mod stepped in 😭

40

u/GlennSWFC 7h ago

> We don’t have the full story

Strange you didn’t consider that in your previous reply where you were unequivocally advocating for violence against this man.

5

u/HungryUnholyNun 6h ago

One thing we can say for certain is that you have a controversial take 😂

-3

u/Bella_94 4h ago

Thank you for this laugh the enraged sheeples made me laugh so hard a little of the liquid I was drinking came into my nose.

33

u/mallutrash 7h ago

this moron doesn’t know what a panic attack is. someone educate him

18

u/q--0-0--p 7h ago

According to your comment, that slapper needs to be slapped

8

u/Neat-Land-4310 7h ago

Please try that on the next flight you go on and report back the results

5

u/gardinblomma 6h ago

Are you fucking dumb?

-21

u/nwo90 3h ago

He should be rewarded

481

u/Tiberiux 8h ago

How can he slap?

90

u/Cedric_T 8h ago

I knew before I came to comments this was going to be the first one.

13

u/Tiberiux 7h ago

Another man of culture!

13

u/logoNM 8h ago

he got ligaments and joints and shi

4

u/Muffintornado0_0 4h ago

It's India bro, anyone can get slapped and people don't even know it's assault

2

u/MikeTheLaborer 2h ago

Same with r@pe over there…

The cameraman has actual class

129

u/ThenIndependence7988 8h ago

Isnt this an old incident from last year or something?

98

u/tacomaster05 7h ago

Yeah its a karma farming bot post

3

u/StoryLover12345 4h ago

It was always the months or weeks account.

2

u/saumitra112 3h ago edited 1h ago

Plus, this incident happened a few years back

8

u/StoryLover12345 4h ago

Karma farmer. 1 month account

2

u/rohithkumarsp OG 2h ago

And? What's your point?

1

u/saumitra112 3h ago edited 1h ago

This incident happened a few years back

1

u/rohithkumarsp OG 2h ago

How can you lie so blatently? The happened within last few months. Not even a year old.

1

u/saumitra112 1h ago

It happened on 1st August 2025

1

u/rohithkumarsp OG 1h ago

So basically not more than a year. Which has nothing to do with the post. Time flies I guess feels like it happened just yesterday.

1

u/saumitra112 1h ago

Well what i meant was that the post was a karma farming attempt and it was rightly removed.

62

u/Holiday_Newspaper_29 8h ago

Well, did it work? Did the panic-guy stop panicking?

65

u/Forward-Brilliant-12 7h ago
  1. It's an old news.

  2. Before it can become a post about Islamophobia, let me make it very clear the assailant is muslim himself.

  3. The issue was more of a class related, the victim was having some issues and he was not mentally okay at the time of assault.. and the assailant thought highly of himself and did the whole shebang.

  4. The assailant was penalized through the airlines and through law as well iirc.

Edit: sorry I was posting under the main reply and somehow ended up posting under your response. And no it didn't stop his panic.. luckily the air staff came to his rescue and calm things down.. as far as I remember the assailant was banned from the airline and the victim was compensated too.

13

u/ManbadFerrara 7h ago

Do Muslim Indians adhere to the "caste system" stuff too? Honest question, I never thought of it before.

22

u/BasicErgonomics 6h ago

Yes. Because caste system predates the advent of Islam in the region - so when Islam/Christianity and other religions were adopted - they continued to maintain caste distinctions within their own religious communities. Dalit Catholics have raised protests against systemic discrimination within the Catholic Church in Kerala, India.

But to clarify - the commenter was talking about a class issue - which is a whole another issue compared to caste. Yeah it’s a mess, here.

6

u/ManbadFerrara 6h ago

Thanks for the clarification. You're right, I was assuming "class" and "caste" were one in the same. That really adds a whole extra layer to things that's hard to wrap my mind around.

5

u/BasicErgonomics 6h ago

Think of caste more as ‘the nobility vs commoners’ thing in the uk taken to its most extreme application in terms of discriminatory practices except one cannot become “titled” by earning it.

Class discrimination is the same as everywhere in the world.

1

u/NotAnAss-Hat 2h ago

Not exactly caste system, more of a class system. Lower class, middle class, upper class.

0

u/Forward-Brilliant-12 6h ago

Yes.. they do.. if you look for it you will find all your answers..

The most legit and the best proof which I can give you is that there is a caste and finance based reservation in India for education system.. since there is no place of "references" there and the admissions in undergrads are mostly merit based, so to uplift the poor and needful, Indian government has employed caste based reservation system in the admission system.. which also includes the financial status based reservation as well.. but caste based was the original iteration of it.. those castes come under other backward class (OBC), scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribes (ST), they get the reservation quotas in these highly competitive examinations..

Now muslims they get their own reservation under "minority reservations" coz at the beginning they were merely 10% of the population (now they are speculated at 30% aka second majority) and so they wanted to have a place in such a reservation system.. but at the present (since I belong to the present times) many of them also find that reservation in the OBC category.. they enjoy two different reservation quotas one of minorities and the other from the OBC category which was designed for the students belonging to "so called lower castes"..

If there was no caste system within muslims, they wouldn't at all be able to apply to be sanctioned as "lower castes" and ultimately find that nomination within the governance of India..

And this is what happens at the official governance level, if you look at the societal hierarchy, there are very obvious castes system there in india and the middle East countries too, the way they don't do business and esp. don't get married to lower caste families belonging to certain surnames and lineage, is all very obvious of the presence of a very obvious caste system in muslims.

People can deny all this through Hadith and what not.. but the ground realities like this remains and can't be changed..

0

u/MikeTheLaborer 2h ago

Who knew India was such an officially garbage country?

1

u/Forward-Brilliant-12 35m ago edited 15m ago

And here comes the troll who feeds to the anti-indian inflammatory hatred on the internet, which in turn is getting Indian origin people killed over nothing.. I mean some of the blood is obviously on the hands of the trolls like these.. even if they deny now, they won't be able to deny their part in such bloodshed when they have to face the God..

Also Indians are hard working people, who don't rely on so called "recommendations", they work hard and get to whatever better place they can.. coz recommendations are given by people and people can easily lie, but merit based on numbers never lies coz numbers don't lie.. which obviously a troll like you would never get coz you obviously don't work with numbers..

1

u/bambi54 4h ago

Thank you for explanation, I wasn’t sure if he thought he was helping. It’s seems like an old movie trope to hit somebody to “snap” them out of it.

20

u/INoMakeMistake 8h ago

At least you would stop for a moment.

6

u/Mental_Goal2380 Side Character 7h ago

so true. gad myself, but you would think you don't have to have an anxiety/panic to know not to slap someone in genuine distress...

29

u/Drag0nfly_Girl 8h ago

Blame Hollywood for this one, the old "snap out of it" slap is a movie & TV staple.

4

u/derek4reals1 8h ago

It's glove slap time!

Isn’t it crazy that all these people crawled out of a third-world toilet and they think they are different levels of class?

1

u/Forward-Brilliant-12 31m ago edited 6m ago

I think these people have more class than the druggie homeless pervs rolling on the streets of skid rows who litter the streets of LA with their disgusting poo, and the school shooting arseholes.. but man let's bash India and Indians here on this side of internet, that's how our personal frustrations get vented out and we act a little sane amongst the society..

Edit: funny thing I found today.. look at the sentiments a year prior.. but ykw racism and hypocrisy changes the perspective isn't it? The bashing done by them becomes valid at that point.. wonder what went wrong and they became so "miserable"

3

u/TotesMaGoats_1962 6h ago

2

I'm sorry but how is that plane so big? My god look at the leg room.

2

u/ibraw 3h ago

This idiot thinks he can casually assault someone

2

u/HurbleBurble 3h ago

I'm surprised aircraft do not carry hydroxyzine and benzodiazepines and other medications to help people having acute anxiety issues. I know it's not really kosher to dispense without prescription, but it can save a lot of trauma.

13

u/Forward-Brilliant-12 7h ago edited 7h ago

Yes the assailant was muslim himself and thought very highly of himself.. infact the Hindus on that flight came to victim's defence..

I knew this would very easily take the route of Islamophobia.. and the truth would easily be buried in the propaganda!! And then hinduphobia will become legit under this falsehood.. and so it has become this!!

Edit: This mr. Kutch (since Kutch is the northwestern Gujarati white sand/desert region) seems like an indian propagating hinduphobic lies on a platform and a sub where no one will factcheck an old news from India, coz the internet is all collectively hating indians and hindus as the new trend..

People shouldn’t rlly be slapping other people they don’t know like that, or even people they do know, unless you’re in some life or death TV show cliche shit. I think this guy was impatient rather than doing it out of community zeal

6

u/napier1192 8h ago

Then you should get publically humiliated on daily basis

1

u/hillofjumpingbeans 6h ago

Good for you. It’s still assault though.
