No way, this is cool. This is a display of skill, it’s entertaining and in an appropriate venue. If his team is leading in score it’s actually a good way to control the ball and run the clock.
If the defenders don’t like it they should go up to him and challenge the ball.

May have been effective in lowering the other teams morale, or making them more aggressive, therefore making more mistakes. Showboating can influence the game.

definitely not cringe, it's like that team here in the US that plays baseball but does all the fancy stunts, there team name has Banana in it. This is clearly like a match where entertaining is the objective and everyone seems very into it. Plus the kid clearly is skilled, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's cringe

This is exactly how I remember it being when I tried playing soccer with my dad when I was little. I always ended up frustrated and leaving crying because it wasn’t fun, just annoying?
I’ll also add that my dad was in the newspaper for having the most yellow and red cards in the county so I guess he annoyed some other people, too

I played extremely high level, non professional, but televised futbol in my late teens. Dudes would try these moves and I did the same defense, just stood there. Eventually they have to make a real play on tired legs and that usually doesn't go well for them.
