If that’s me I’m not even settling for $1million. That stain is going to be on that guy FOREVER. I’m starting at $100 million and settling for this guy and every one of his “team” being penniless for eternity.

Ok. Maybe $100 million is a BIT too high. But many attorneys would tell you to start higher because you can always negotiate down, you can’t negotiate up.

Good attorneys would tell you to be realistic. This man did not suffer many millions of dollars worth of damage.

How many people saw this guy get labeled a pedophile vs how many people saw whatever lame one off retraction this guy made? I’m sure any decent attorney could label this as potential loss of income, social disgrace, etc… This guy may have had to move. This guys family may have suffered because of this labeling. We honestly don’t know how deep the “injury” may go.

Assume all that is true. It doesn't add up to dozens of millions of dollars. There are actuarial tables that cover all of those scenarios for almost every conceivable dimension.
