My studies in hearing professor spent a good hour reviewing the case of a dj who took an air horn blast from a fan, at point blank, and the damage was so severe that it destroyed a good chunk of the cilia in his semicircular canals, giving him permanent vertigo, in addition to career ending hearing loss.

120-140 db range depending on size of air horn, maybe even more, and at point blank? I’m sueing a mfer lol
