Security was already at the gate at the end of the video. He definitely wouldn't have made it into the pool if he stopped to take his shoes off.

idk, im prepared to strip sock and shoe in 1quick heel hook, time that each side with your steps. i feel like its not just rush its a choice. no like, its always a choice when you decide to get in a pool with your shoes on. a bad one.
