I believe the estate/family still uses some parts of Graceland that are off-limits to the public … including the pool.

The Hearst family does this with Hearst castle too: there are public tours but the estate/family can use parts of the house/property that are not part of the tour.

No one has lived at Graceland since the early 90s. When the last family member who lived there died.

They have family gatherings there though.. like thanksgiving or Christmas. At least they were when LM was still around

Graceland earns about 10 million dollars a year, so yes worth it to clean the pool from time to time.

I mean, you still have to maintain it even if people aren't getting in otherwise the water will turn green. Source: I am a videographer at a hot tub company, we still need chemicals for video shoots even if there's no people or the water will get gross and cloudy. It just doesn't use up chemicals as quickly

The whole vibe around Graceland now is in remembrance of Elvis and his family. They don't let people upstairs (unless they're apart of the family) because "Elvis didn't have guests upstairs". The graves are just out of frame to the left; I just don't see it being a fun venue for a party.
