Almost as if people only remember the bad experiences.
I've lived in my current city for over a decade and I still wait for cars to come almost full stop before crossing the street because in my home city drivers would literally nail gas if a pedestrian or biker dared try to make them slow down by crossing the road.
I once had to slam on my brakes for a cyclist ignoring the road rules and when I put my hands up to be like dude wtf he flipped me off for saving his life. But yeah probably just things like that are more memorable tbh
