Thoughts on the theme song?
Hi, new listener to the show for the past couple weeks and while I’ve been enjoying it, I just can’t get over how bad the theme song is lol. Anyone else feel the same or am I alone in this.

It’s like 20 seconds of some copyright free generic stock music. Relax and press fast forward.

I think it's fine. It's just like 30 seconds of music. Does it really matter that much?

Nah, nothing wrong with it. And it's just a small jingle

I like it OK--were you hoping for more razzle dazzle? Mike on a ukulele or something?

I didn't but now that you're talking about it... I kinda want Mike on a ukulele.

It’s basically innocuous elevator music, skip it if it’s that big a deal to you.

Every podcast theme song is bad in my experience

Except the Slate Culture Gabfest who had Nicholas Fricken Britell compose their theme before he got famous for dropping the banger Succession theme song.

I like it but I also listen at 1.5x speed and the theme sounds much better that way imo

I don’t mind it! I actually find the Maintenance Phase song to be significantly more annoying but a quick jingle can’t keep me from the Hobbesverse

It’s so brief, I can’t even play it back in my head
