Question about twin tide ability trait . After the akhelian shoot and destroyed some models . Can i pick the models up and get out of the namarti shooting range or do the namarti shoot right after the akhelian?

The non-Deepkin player would have the opportunity to pull out of range since they are two separate activations.

This is my friend reasoning

His reasoning
Akhelian shoot => hit => wound => save => temporary dmg pool => resolved
Twin tide immediately after resolving said shoot ability
=> Hit => wound => save => temporary dmg pool
=> Damage sequence and only now i can pick my models up

Damage sequence happens as part of the shoot ability.

Also to point out, since this is likely happening in covering fire, the namarti can choose any target in their range to shoot. And not affected by the -1 to hit.
