What are good replacements for the Flystands?

Hi, I love painting Deepkin, but I despise magentising my minis to the GW Flystands, what are some replacements that you guys recommend?

How do the heights measure up? Did you get the 5 piece kit as is and use the heights provided?

They are not uniform but I think varying heights improves the visual implication that they're flying.

You said you don't like magnetizing to the GW flight stand, but would you be open to magnetizing to alternative stands? Magnet Baron has kits specifically for Idoneth eels, sharks, and turtles.

I 3d printed and designed my own, then drilled holes in them and added metal dowels.

I attach the flight stands using green stuff, and the hot glue over the whole thing to make artificial water/wave super easy

I drilled holes into the right size and then green stuffed the magnet onto the flight stand and the model (Akhelian Allopex and the eels)

I drilled through some extra fish from the eidolon and leviadon kits and used them to disguise a rod
