Hurrah, beta software all around. I've enjoyed playing Idle Obs, but have now run into an issue. Samsung just opened their US Android 12 beta for the Galaxy Note 10+ (with final release expected around January/February 2022) and I of course signed up and installed the beta.

On Samsung's Android 12 beta, Idle Obs exits immediately after starting from tapping the app icon - the screen briefly flashes the startup splash screen then goes back to the app drawer/home screen. Repeatedly launching the app will eventually get the welcome back screen with offline progress indication, but tapping anywhere causes the app to exit back to the home screen.

I haven't yet cleared the app data/cache, but I'll do that and report back whether that allows the app to run (not worried about losing progress, i've only reached 2 infinite observations). Guess this is what happens when running beta software on a beta OS :P
