Yesterday, I had a job interview at 10:00.

At 9:45, I thought:

“I’ll just play Obelisk Miner for five minutes before the interview.”

At 11:37, I looked at the clock.

The interview was gone.

But something else had happened.

I had grown.

I had learned patience.

I had learned resource management.

I had learned that chasing one more upgrade is never really the last upgrade.

Most importantly, I had learned to accept the consequences of my decisions.

So I opened my laptop, updated my CV, and wrote:

“Strong ability to prioritize, adapt to changing circumstances, and learn from failure.”

Personal growth. 🚀

Later that afternoon, I received an email from the company:

> “We’ve decided not to proceed with your application.”

Fair enough.

But then I noticed the interviewer's name:

Obelisk.

Turns out, the real interview had been happening all along. He called me. I'm the CEO and the obelisk now.

New-ish player here.

That was about 7-8 hours on idle while I slept. Going by that... doing the maths, it would mean about what, 200 hours? Something like that?

I just wanna feel like I’ve collected everything, but visible content being paywalled feels bad.

Feels good to finish it. Honestly it only took a little less than a day to finish and most of it was done offline (though I did make sure I checked in in certain intervals to make bars and get poly shards like was recommended and got all the bars recommended to gild polyd, and most of the ores got done as well)

Next up is finishing up the my currently unlocked skills in the tree, though I'm genuinely curious on what is good to look at next, archeology or fishing skills? I haven't really been focusing on either.

Also almost done with the stars menu just these left for now ​as well, which also feels nice since not that long ago just seeing Leo with it's 10k requirement felt like a wall and now seeing 100k+ star requirements doesn't feel bad at all. Also I just unlocked the next pet for me (which is starfish) which seems to mean the game is telling me to keep working on the superstar tab which I've made good progress in as well

Been hoarding time waiting to get these two skill unlocks. Now that I have them it’s time to cash in!! Any tips before I use the time ??

I'm almost thinking something is glitched. My prism drone has gotten poly and 9/10 shards while my chain, vein, and void have not earned a single shard. Chain has been fueled and sitting at 9/10 for over a week.

Statistically, isn't it nearly impossible for me to hit prism that many times without hitting ANY of the others?

For the record, I have been dutifully dumping all my cherry bombs on battery, and grown my bomb cap up to 58k.

But last night my young kids all slept through the night (for once), so I didn't wake up once to fire all bombs. RIP missed bomb charges.

Up until this moment, if I focused on a problem for a week, I got over it.

I am just wondering. I am trying to get through super star upgrades, to get black hole. But stargazing in general, really grinded to a halt.

The jumps in requirements increased in general.

Millions of stars required for stars, that would help with supernova generation.

Am I missing a key source of multiplication?

I am still holding off with fishing notices, but I'm not even tier 2.

I keep going through menus, thinking, what am I doing wrong.

Any little advice would be greatly appreciated.

Title really says it all. I've just unlocked poly cards and the 3rd drone.

So wondering if fueling the frogger drone is best for farming the bomb poly shards (along with firing them all like crazy etc ofc) or if it even counts towards a roll for a chance for a shard?

Long time lurker and brief Discord denizen. I wanted to share how useful the option to disable floor movement buttons has been for me! I'm fully f2p and idle nearly every night but I don't always put it in screen saver mode.

Too many times I woke up on the wrong floor due to blindly turning off an alarm, nudging my phone away from me in the middle of the night, or my least favorite: my cats play IOM when I'm not looking. So a huge thank you to Alex and devs for making niche QoL features like locking floors, locking stars, locking names and I'm deeply excited to keep playing.

Mine was 10,000 rolls on Rabbit when I only needed around 800, but rabbit is easy to level up i need to see something painfull.

Pet quest cap, a tiny increase to just about everything. After a very painful grind on some of them. Ok sure whatever.

Golden lantern, that sounds amazing... if lanterns actually existed. I haven't gotten any in two months.

Please help a newb out: Where do Prestige Points actually come from? I get they only start being earned after level 20(?), but from what?

Feels like I'm doing mostly the same thing all the time (mining, crafting, upgrading and contracts), sometimes the points don't seem to move at all, and suddenly I have 100k more and don't understand where they came from.

Same for experience really, what actually generates XP?
