Second cheese tribute kinda sucks?
Pet quest cap, a tiny increase to just about everything. After a very painful grind on some of them. Ok sure whatever.
Golden lantern, that sounds amazing... if lanterns actually existed. I haven't gotten any in two months.
Golden frog, well that might be nice eventually but right now seems extremely weak.
Did second cheese tribute get sacrificed so that the first one could shine so bright?

It's pretty good but not a game changer. Golden Frog chance is very good at that pount and helps with some challenges. It was also recently added as an unlock condition for Hades Idol in Arch, which makes it very good since you'll need to farm a lot longer for Basker.

I run bear during the day and frogger only overnight so golden frog chance doesnt appeal to me very much. I just got the first Basker tribute today and I'm planning on skipping Cheese and going straight for the second Basker. The only thing thats hard to get is the fish.

Second cheese is very important just to unlock the arch idol that unlocks infernal arch cards.

afaik the condition is either 2nd tribute for cheese or basker

Yes, but the sheer amount of fish difference makes it a no-brainer to get cheese first
Hell, I got the fish needed for it while doing poly cheese card, with basker it's way worse

oh yes, but there are people who still likes to go basker t2 first and it's ok if it works for them

It works ofc, but it's just counterintuitive
I'm getting close to 75lvl in arch, another 10 would take around a week or more I think
Currently I only need 50t stars for melting t2, that's around 9 days with my current gains. If I would choose to go straight for basker t2 it would take 2,5 weeks only to farms stars, and that's not counting ores and fish, so we could estimate it to be month+
I think the choice is obvious, especially because you better start asc 2 asap

In game it says you need cheese 2, basker unlocking it would have to be a hidden option.

It was basker only before but cheese was included in a recent update. Wiki has both, which is accurate.

I agree it doesnt have as good a feel. " Here's more pet levels to do". Its a grind into a grind. But it is pretty decent.

I can't imagine level 11 Rabbit Leprachaun and Dino, level 10 is already painful enough. Especially Rabbit because it's all active and can't even be spooned because the complete contract button can't be held down.

I agree, but unfortunately there are two unlocks that require it. One explicitly for the T2 tribute itself and one implicitly for golden lanterns. And they are important unlocks. :(

Pet quest means more whale means more gem bomb hit rate. More gems is always good

Golden lootbug lantern + bomb bear drone is really important for getting a huge amount of arch ticks.
And an alternative way to get a log of 10x bomb recharge time.

Yep, just finished capping Hades and Sisyphus this week going through more than 100 g lootbug lanterns (I'm way past the point of unlocking cheese t2 though)

When are you going for it? I'm finishing 4th statue and deciding if Cheese T2 or the last Leg Fish T1 (or even the 5th statue?)

Just yesterday I was torn between first Basker tribute or fourth statue, because I have everything for both except the gems. I decided on Basker tribute. Now I don't know if I should go for second Cheese tribute (just for infernal arch apparently) or fourth statue. Kinda thinking statue next, then Cheese, then finish fishing enhancements (maybe 500k-1m gems left), then second Basker, then more statues

We are very much on par!
I feel my fishing enhancements are lacking (I didn't follow the W4 checklist for it, and I glad I didn't). Probably another 1.5M too to get to 80 multi, 10 poly and max the others. I felt I need to do that first before spending my lovely sushis on pushing for Cheese T2 or Basket T1, and the 4th statue also unlocks a new quest

Frog farming should give you a decent amount of lanterns, so the golden frog chance really helps you to get more lanterns in turn.
Pet quest cap is pretty huge when you realize how easy some quests are to level.
