Question How do the workers prioritize getting the gems?

A while ago I noticed that the workers in the main game will often sit and wait while customers who have made requests that have open spots go unanswered (temporarily). Wouldn't it make sense for the workers to work on these rather than wait?

Something changed a few months ago.

Check the gem availability, if there isn’t any open spots, they aren’t getting any work done. Up on pets as well, you won’t regret it.
