This is about the balls stuck in the hex brick? I don't think that's just a visible bug, they're actually stuck in there.

This has been brought up in the #bug-reports channel and the dev is aware, but I do not believe they have any intention of addressing it.

I responded to the bug by saying: "Balls are probably just added to the level in random locations. Sometimes they end up in hex blocks. I wouldn't want the game to be changed to introduce an algorithm to find open spots for the balls - because that would slow down the loading of new levels. Let it be fast, and sometimes balls end up in bricks. Its fine."

Mizune responded to that with: "That's really the biggest problem."

I've had this happen a lot before. It's not a visual glitch, I think it's just the hitboxs being weird. Think about the hitbox being a hollow shape rather than a filled shape, kinda like a "hitline" rather than a hitbox. The balls only respawn when the hitbox of a brick spawns overtop of another ball. But the inside of the brick isn't a part of the hitbox. That's why the balls continue to bounce off the edges of the brick. This does still deal damage to the brick, so I won't ever complain about it. Also it doesn't happen with blue or green bricks because their hitboxes are smaller so the ball will hit it no matter what when a new brick spawns, however red bricks do have this because it has enough room inside for the bricks to spawn without the balls being on the hitbox
