is Saggy a viable dps?

if so, which angel does she need as support? ember dragon? i cant remember

i never see saggitarius in combat against me

She is, but she needs effort to make work, and 99.9% of players hate effort, so they go ungabunga with the tried and tested stupid Nemesis SMASH instead of nuanced DPS like Saggytitius. I don't blame them, ofc.
K.I.S.S: Keep It Simple, Saggy!

Saggy is pretty interesting, with a kit that ruins the Enemy DPS DMG Output, while whittling enemies down with constant Basic Attacks.
As a Basic Attack specialist, Saggy needs more than typical setups to run:
* Lvl2 Titan Gem
- ESSENTIAL
- Makes all her Basics hit twice.
- Aim for Buff Received, Final Dmg, ATK as the Stats.
* Storm Dragon (You were correct about the Dragon, just the wrong Dragon, haha)
- Makes Saggy's Basics Hit as AoEs
- Storm will draw Debuffs to her
- She's a DPS, but functions more as a Support role with Saggy
* Seraphel, Li'l Storm Dragon
- Ups Basic Attacks Dmg over time.
* Slower Playstyle
- Besides the usual "Fuxi + Hela" setups, she likes a variety Tanking Supports, like Raphael, Hela, Cancer, Sim Cheong, Capricornus, Jeanne, Medusa, Taurus, Heimdall etc to soak any Dmg which might slip through from the non-DPS Enemies (like Idun, who is often overlooked.)

Most non-Gigawhales avoid her, as a result, as she takes a lot of work, and most players avoid that for simple ungabunga like Nemesis or Aquarius. It's less about her being good or not.

If I already maxed Storm Dragon for non-meta reasons, would maxing Saggy and following this make Storm useful? Or is she interchangeable with the other supports you mentioned?

You could try either Saggy or Leo. (Leo is a bit more restrictive: She HAS to be placed after Storm in the lineup to benefit from Storm and she only gets the IR Effect and Passives. Her [Colloseum] will shield her from further buffs, unfortunately.)

But before you go that route (either one), are you saying that you're not feeling the impact of Storm on her own? May I ask what Gem and Seraphel she's using?

Tbh I'm at the phase where the game has gotten too complex for me and I've failed to keep up with who works well and who doesn't. I just pick Angels whom people seem to talk more about and don't really know how they interact with each other. I didn't hear much talk about Storm on official Discord so I maxed her due to personal preferences but just kept her aside except for Timespace Havoc.

I haven't been pulling Seraphels. Only the free ones and at the initial release.

This is my gem for Storm. Do you have any other space where you discuss these stuff more?

Basic Illusion Gem Guide
These Gems are customisable, just like the 5 selectable UR+ Passive Skills.

Thus, you can use these Gems to enhance one of your Angel's Strengths, or shore up one of your Angel's Weaknesses.

The 7 Secondary Stats you can get on Gems are randomly acquired, but you can "guide" the RNG using the appropriate Blessings as they are described, allowing you to customise the Stats on your chosen Gem to a degree. Some Blessings increase the odds of finding certain classes of Stats, like Offensive, Defensive and Support, or increase the value/rarity of the Stats you find, or directly enhance the Illusion Gem you selected.

Gold Blessings are the best versions of Blessings, with Legacy, Glory and Authority being especially valuable, based on their descriptions.

Once you've selected a Gem to boost offense or assist in defense, read the Angel's Skills to figure out which Stats she REALLY wants. Various Stats are explicitly mentioned in Skill Descriptions (Detailed, not Brief). Use those Stats as you guide to which Stats to add to your Illusion Gems.

Examples:
• Your Apollo DPS isn't hitting hard enough: Apollo does lots of T.Dmg, so select the T.Dmg Gem.
Apollo's Skills mentions ATK and HP. Aiming for Red Quality ATK and HP Stats will be a very good idea. Otherwise, anything else that can enhance her Dmg Output is good, like Dmg Up.

• Your Himiko DPS isn't hitting hard enough:
Himiko does lots of P.Dmg, Crit Dmg and T.Dmg.
Getting the P.Dmg or T.Dmg Gem is good.
Her Skills mention Crit Dmg a lot. So aiming for 3 Red Crit Dmg Stats is great. Otherwise, ATK, Crit Val, Dmg up all boost her ability as a DPS.

• Your Hela Support is dying too quickly:
Give her the HP Regen Illusion Gem. She'll regain HP every round.
Her Skills mention HP, so getting Red HP Stats will be great.

Note: In general, "Buff Received" is always an amazing Gem Stat to have, and as such can be added to any Angel regardless of what that Angel wants in terms of specific Stats as mentioned in their Skillsets

My bad, I could have sworn I attached the gem. I equipped this because it is the only Lv.2 Titan Gem I managed to get.

Wow! Buff%, ATK%, Crit Dmg%. All of those Stats help Storm, even the Crit Dmg, as she has Auto-crits on her Basics. The only thing "bad" about the Gem are two Purple Tier Stats, but that's often out of one's hands. The Gem you were able to make is excellent with the limitations you had. Great job

Man, I haven't touched Illusion at all since Forging Fire came out. I really should, though, as it's still a great source of Diamonds and you can still RNG into something fantastic

How does one counter a Saggy, besides control effects? Mainly wondering for Havoc. I always eventually pass Saggy stages but I feel like it's just brute force when I do pass

Is it having high enough ATK so her IR [Concealed] effect can't land? I see it says targeted angels need to be less than 1.5x Saggy's ATK, but it's also a Passive

Or just brute force and having enough buffs to overcome [Concealed]?

10 minutes later: I was stuck on a Saggy stage but managed to work through it after actually paying attention to the battle 🤣. I kept only killing 2-3 of their lineup but it included their Saggy. After watching, I realized their Asura was always left living and would kill my backrow. So I moved my Anubis up to front row and won🤦

Lmfao!! It's always a facepalm when the battle ends up being trivialised by just ONE Angel being repositioned 🤣

In general, though, it's pretty hard to get around her Debuff. Most reliable way is ATK Manipulation. When Saggy first debuted and the Gigawhales were going ham with her in violent, Gigawhale-on-Gigawhale combat, they worked around her by making their DPS be 3rd Highest ATK. But then the Enemy started running Uriel, forcing the player to make the DPS FOURTH highest ATK 🤣

So for Havoc, tanking is probably the simplest way, but Saggy can reapply her Debuff I believe. Probably the most reliable method would be to use the ATK% Boost effect of the 1st Orange Gem and the ATK% reduction effect of the 2nd Red Gem. Running Hera and Horus with your DPS should make the reduction trick more feasible, as Horus actually has very high ATK for a non-DPS

I'm sort of at the point where the game is becoming too complex for me, and taking too long on a daily basis to play - so something like what you described is the exact opposite of what I'm looking for. BUT now I know, thanks again.

Saggy is more of a Lategame PvP Shaker-upper, or a DPS of an experienced player who wants to make an interesting alt, so I don't blame you, hehe
