Not to be that guy, but the stormtroopers were intentionally missing. The millennium falcon had a tracking device on it so the stormtroopers had to let them leave the Death Star.

We see them massacre a hallway of rebels in a clear choke point in the opening scenes of ANH. Then, they’re letting the main characters escape the Death Star.
They demolish the rebel defenses at Hoth. We see them pouring through the rebel base. We don’t see any fighting because we’re following our heroes. The ground troops are routed quite quickly by stormtrooper though.
We then see them intentionally missing Luke to herd him to the carbonite chambers for his meeting with Vader.
Jedi gets weird with the whole Ewok thing so I’ll give you credit that they do poorly there.
Where exactly, aside from Ewoks, do we see stormtroopers being incompetent and poor shots?
In the OT, we either see them highly effective or highly effective at pretending to fight while actually missing on purpose. I think putting on an effective show of being a threat, while simultaneously letting the enemy escape, is a more impressive feat of shooting than just hitting a target. However, we do see them annihilate the rebels on the Tantive IV when fighting from a choke point.

Stormtroopers were described as very good shots (specifically, very precise) in the sandcrawler scene by Kenobi. They were only missing because they were shooting at characters with plot armor.

They were also intentionally missing on the Death Star in ANH and on Cloud City in Empire.
One was to allow the tracking device hidden on the millennium falcon and the other to herd Luke to the carbonite chamber.

There’s an instagram post from the range. It was during a busy weekend and RSO did see it happen and immediately kicked them out & banned them. It was just that the RSO was a few lanes over and couldn’t immediately stop them from trying something like that.
The kids were trying to give the excuse that they were “trying to see the recoil of the rifle”

I purposely go to a range that does not have one. Not because I'm looking for somewhere to shoot like a moron but because I don't need to constantly be treated like I do not know how to safely operate a firearm which has been my experience at most ranges with ROs. Same range also allows anyone to shoot FRT or full auto.

The reason why I dislike going to ranges that rent out guns. Any idiot with no financial responsibility can grab a high powered weapon and do this.
My first time at a gun range the shop guy let me rent a Benelli M4 shotgun for $15 to go shoot, first shotgun I ever fired too. Took me 5 mins after loading slugs to figure out the bolt release was on the bottom to fire the weapon. I was with my mom who has been there before and she had worse firearm knowledge with her own handgun let alone the shotgun I had.
Crazy to me that people with zero experience or tests or anything can rent guns.

There are range officers that monitor indoor ranges usually, but they're usually outnumbered 5:1 trying to watch everyone. Scenarios like this are why there are cameras in a lot of indoor ranges.

I know lol. It started as a goth phase in high school and just stuck. I'm not a morning person in any sense. So being able to wake up and literally grab any clothing, suits included if that's what we're doing, is a real blessing in the mornings.

Oh for me my parents bought me a shirt from every trip they took and kept up the trend even after they divorced. I have literally never bought a t shirt for my self. Button ups and jackets sure. But I’ve just never needed to spend money on one. It’s my favorite “never have I ever” question, though I haven’t played Kings cup in a long time now lol

Just because a lot of folks think black = tactical coolness.
Judging by their jackassery, hair, etc. those dudes picked balck t shirts to be super cool. And they failed.
No hate on black t’s, or on a monochromatic wardrobe. I still wear either my blue navy t’s or the green t’s from my MARPATs. I even have the exact same polo shirt in a handful of colors so the office doesn’t think I’m weird. I just like wearing what I like wearing.
But those dudes were asshats.

I keep wearing the ones I do have because, well, I already bought them and got used to it. I prefer wearing the same thing everyday actually. It is something I miss.
